Accessibility

The conference venues within Christ Church are accessible and the college has introduced a number of measures to support visitors with accessibility requirements.

Wheelchair users are invited to enter by the main gate (Tom Gate) beneath Tom Tower. There is an induction loop at the Porters’ Lodge enquiry desk. The Lodge is accessible to wheelchair users. There is ramped access to the north and south sides of Tom Quad and into the Cathedral by the West Door.

An accessible w.c. is available in Tom Quad (beneath the Hall) and is shown on the map. Please ask a Custodian for directions and/or assistance.

The college’s principal lecture theatre has level access, an induction loop and a unisex wheelchair user’s toilet nearby.

Arriving in Oxford

Those travelling to Oxford to attend the conference are encouraged to do so by public transport – Oxford is easily accessible from all parts of the UK by train (please visit the National Rail travel planner for further information) and by bus, particularly from London. There are direct coach links to most of the international airports in southern England.

Those travelling by car are advised to use one of the Park and Rides located on the principal routes into Oxford and to travel into the city centre by bus. We regret that we cannot reserve parking places for you.
